From Stillness to Power

Clarity. Resilience. Real strength.

It starts with how you think. The practices come after, and only the ones that suit you. No incense, no jargon, nothing you have to believe in.

What this is

Stillness isn't weakness.

It’s where you get your head straight, and it’s the bit almost everyone skips.

I came to this the long way round. Things came to a stop for me in 2018, and what I built in the years after is what I teach now.

It’s nothing mystical and nothing performative, and it doesn’t need you to change who you are or believe anything in particular. Just a handful of tools that fit around a real life, a job and a family, plus a way of thinking that stops you writing yourself off every time you slip.

If that sounds like your kind of thing, we’ll probably get on.

The
foundation

Start here

Mindset is the whole thing.

It’s the glue. Get this right and everything else you try compounds. Get it wrong and every practice in the world just becomes one more thing you’re failing at.

Most of my work sits here. Learning to read a bad week as information rather than a verdict on you. Dropping the idea that progress is meant to be neat. Building enough self-honesty to notice where you’re at before it costs you something.

It’s the least glamorous part of this and comfortably the most important. It’s also completely universal. You don’t have to believe in anything, join anything, or get into any cold water to start here.

Progress over polish. Information over verdicts. Honest over impressive.

You don’t need to escape your life to feel better in it.

How we work together

Three ways in, depending on where you are.

One to one

Mentoring

Regular sessions, just the two of us. No set programme and no fixed number of weeks, because no two people turn up needing the same thing. We start where you are and change it as life gets in the way. Best if you have tried this alone and it keeps sliding.

Groups

Workshops

Half day and full day sessions combining breathwork, cold exposure and stillness. Bring a towel and a sense of humour. Run privately for teams, or open to anyone.

Longer term

Lifestyle planning

A proper look at how your week actually runs, then a plan you will realistically stick to. Built for people who are busy and slightly overcommitted. I know the type well.

The practices

The tools I use most, and not the whole list.

These three are the ones I come back to most. They are not the whole list, and this is not a menu you order from. Sleep, movement, how you talk to yourself, who you spend your time around: it all comes up, because it all matters. You don’t have to do all three of these, and you certainly don’t have to do them in order. Plenty of people work with me on mindset and breathing and never go anywhere near a Reiki table. Others come for the Reiki and stay for the rest. Take what’s useful and leave what isn’t. That’s not a sales line, it’s just how this works.

01

Breathwork

Your breath is the one part of your nervous system you can take hold of on purpose. I teach simple, repeatable patterns you can use in a car park before a difficult meeting, not just on a mat with the lights down.

02

Cold therapy

Ice baths and cold water, done safely and with proper respect for the risks. Less about macho endurance, more about proving to yourself that you can stay calm while everything in you wants to panic. That skill transfers.

03

Reiki

Training and treatment in the Usui lineage, from a first taste through to Master Teacher. Taught plainly and held to a professional standard. Many people describe it as helping them feel calmer, and experiences vary from person to person. If it isn’t for you, say so and we’ll leave it there. It won’t offend me.

That is the short list, not the whole one. Want the detail on any of these, or not sure where you’d start? Just ask.

Where I stand

Four things I won't budge on.

Practical, not mystical

If a tool doesn’t work on a normal Tuesday, it doesn’t make the cut. You will not be asked to believe anything to get the benefit.

Embodied, not performative

Nothing here is for the camera. No transformation arcs, no before and after. Just the quiet work that actually holds up.

Everyone welcome

Especially the blokes who think this isn’t for them. It usually is, and they’re usually the ones who need it most.

Honest about limits

I won’t claim this cures anything. I’ll tell you what it has done for me and for others, and let you make your own mind up.

Get in touch

Start with a conversation.

No forms to fill in, no funnel, no automated sequence chasing you for a fortnight. Send me a note about where you’re at and what you’re after, and I’ll come back to you honestly, including if I think I’m not the right person.
